From time to time we get asked about storage for inflorescence. 420EDC carries multiple brands that we use and therefore endorse. The two most diverse catagories are JYARZ which is an industry veteran coming from the Silicone Valley and a newer brand more local to us in New England, Iaso Goods who are known for their stainless steel grinders as one of the pioneers in that space.
Started in 2012, JYARZ lineup began with the Classic size which holds ≈ 3g of unground flowers. Over time the lineup expanded to the Satchmo which can fit ≈ 6-7g of unground flowers depending on the density and a smaller design the Chico that holds ≈ 1g of unground flowers (and is also a good size for hash/kif storage). Big Papi is the most recent addition to the JYARZ catalog that can fit ≈ 28g (1 ounce) of unground flowers. We use our Big Papi for high CBD chemovar (black plastic shell) and high CBG chemovar (white plastic shell since we predomenantly purchase "The White" cultivar).
Iaso Goods is newer to the industry launching in 2017. The "Storage" is available in 3 sizes: Travel, Classic and XL. Initially these designs had what we consider a bit of a flaw, they were not airtight (we incorporated fine o-rings to fix that for those purchasing from 420EDC). In 2025, this has changed with a heavy duty silicone o-ring seal incorporated into the redesigned update in the 3 original sized line-up with the twist-pop closure. One of the unique aspects of the Iaso Goods Storage is the dual end opening capability. There is a built-in kif screen for those storing hole buds that want to capture lost essence that falls through the screen onto the catch plate stainless steel base cap.
Utilizing food grade stainless steel used in their grinders, the Iaso Goods storage makes this solution the go-to bombproof option. The Travel Storage holds ≈1-2g of unground flowers, with the Classic fitting ≈4-5g and the XL having room for ≈7-8g. All Iaso Goods Storage has the same diameter with the lenghts varying to differentiate the sizes.
Contrasting the bombproof aspect of Iaso Goods is JYARZ with glass internals (the Chico also utilizes a suction cup) and silicone foam padding to protect the glass as well as create the first line of scent protection. The New Classic is the successor to JYARZ OG Classic design with an o-ring addition to the New Classic design that was adapted from the Big Papi's incorporation of an o-ring seal as an additional layer of scent protection. The Satchmo and Chico designs currently lack the o-ring extra seal.
It really depends on your usage scenario for which is better when deciding which is best between JYARZ and Iaso Goods storage. Keep in mind that stainless steel is not going to play nicely with salt water exposure (it will rust), so if you are in salt water environments in your adventures, JYARZ may be a better solution. However if you are looking for something rugged that will take a beating, drop after drop after drop, Iaso Goods doesn't have anything like borosilicate glass internals than can break with repeated, the "just right" or catastrophic impact.
